Short film

INTERPRETATION AUSTRALIA SILVER AWARD 2012

After completing an Interpretation Strategy about Henry Bastow, our first architect to the Department of Education in 1873, the Department commissioned a short film. CHI always strives to make ordinary research into something exceptional and memorable.

The Concept

A student presents her research project about her Henry Bastow designed school. While presenting the project, Bastow narrates us through this little known period in state education.

Creative Hat Interpretation

Research, concept, scripting while the magic of the animation belongs to Alf at Reel Pictures and Mal Padgett Multimedia (or "those two guys in Footscray").
