Exhibition about the Creswick woollen mill
Steeped in regional history, the Mill is the only one of its kind left in Australia.
The Story
Their story began in war-torn Poland where university student and future founder of the mill, Paul Ryzowy fled for his life. His journey to Australia is a tale of courage, determination and trust, qualities he used to build his business in Australia.
Having lost his entire family during the war, Paul found comfort in rural camaraderie and through his business, gave back to the town and country that gave him a home. This became our opening storyline.
The Style
The exhibition is smart, easy to navigate with clear, digestible stories, activities, lots of touch objects and a walk through the actual factory. It is a Very Fine Yarn indeed!
